Everyone convicted of
DWI in New Jersey must complete a screening through the New Jersey
Intoxicated Driver's Resource Center. Information about the program
(including contact numbers) can be found here:
http://www.state.nj.us/humanservices/das/treatment/idp
You will be ordered to
attend classes and screening in the Country where you reside. A list of
the County IDRC facilities (and their numbers) can be found at the two
pages below:
http://www.state.nj.us/humanservices/das/treatment/idp/IDRC_Listing_1-2010.pdf
http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/Violations/dui_Intoxicated.htm
If you live outside of
New Jersey (and you do not live reasonably close to a local NJ IDRC
facility), you may be allowed to compete the screening by attending your
out-of-state alcohol/drug awareness counterpart. The IDRC will notify
you by letter with specific instructions (including telephone numbers)
as to whom to call to complete the classes. Information for out of state
defendants and the IDRC requirements (telephone numbers) can be found
here:
http://www.state.nj.us/humanservices/das/treatment/idp/idp_os_requirements.pdf
